THE WILD ONE RUN
GETTING ACTIVE VIRTUALLY
ACROSS CANADA
In order to keep everyone healthy and safe we have decided to once again host a virtual event in 2021.
Being active is so important for our well-being and mental health. Let’s stay connected and come together for a cause, even if it’s not in person. Interact with your fellow participants and runners across Canada using the hashtag #WildOneRun. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram, and share your photos with us.
We might not be running together, but we are still showing up for the same reason: Raising Awareness & Funds for Youth Mental Health.

Okanagan Runners
If you live in or near Wilden we encourage you to complete your distance on the Wild One run course. The 5K and 10K run will be marked out throughout September.
Please note that the Wilden backcountry is private property and that you enter at your own risk. Make sure you have your phone with you in case you get off route or lost. Let people know where you are in case you get injured on the trails and need help. Wear proper foot wear for the trails. Be prepared for technical sections, steep ascents and descents as well as some loose footing in Wilden’s backcountry.

All Proceeds go to Youth Mental Health
The Blenk Family Fund was established together with the KGH Foundation to strengthen the network of mental health support and services available to young people and families in the Okanagan Valley and beyond.
Our goal is to build resilience and heighten awareness – to better understand and support where help is needed. With this work we hope to inspire meaningful change within more and more communities.

FAQ
With your registration you’ll receive a 2020 ‘Wild One Run’ shirt, online community & support, and results posted online.
In order to not waste any fabric and shirts we decided to place multiple batch orders.
The first shirt oder was placed on Aug. 10th and everyone who signed up by then has now received their shirt(s).
Next registration deadline is Sunday, September 13th. If you register by then you will receive your shirt during the last week of September given that everything goes well with Canada Post if we mail your shirt.
Any registrations after Sept. 13th will receive their shirt in October. It’s not necessary to have your shirt to complete your distance though, feel free to send us some pictures in your gear once your shirt has arrived.
One shirt is included in your registration. The shirts are made out of 100% polyester and you get the option to choose between three styles:
